このアトラクションについて
Located on Suriyawong Road, Lomsak Subdistrict, it was originally the site of the Lomsak Governor's residence, later becoming the Lomsak Municipality Office. The building features colonial architecture from the King Rama V era. The ground floor displays the history of Lomsak city, while the upper floor showcases the culture and traditions of the Tai Lhom people.
Lomsak city is known for its long history, with evidence of community settlement that has led to a unique culture, traditions, way of life, and local wisdom. To preserve the memories of the past, the Lomsak Museum was established as a place for learning and studying customs. Inside, it displays various stories of the Tai Lhom people, with wax figures of 'Lao Phung Khao' (White-bellied Lao) and 'women wearing striped skirts with red tops and patterned hems' as highlights. Additionally, the museum presents the prosperous history of Lomsak from the past to the present, with interesting exhibits such as the Lomsak Opium Dens, Benja Entertainment Cinema, the well with the Lomsak clock tower, and demonstrations of rare occupations by the 'Ancient Knife-making group of Ban Mai', which is now one of the few remaining in Thailand.
