เกี่ยวกับสถานที่นี้
Located on Suriyawong Road, Lomsak Subdistrict, it was originally the site of the Lomsak Governor's Residence, later becoming the Lomsak Municipality Office. The building features colonial architecture from the King Rama V era. The lower floor displays the history of Lomsak city, while the upper floor showcases the culture and traditions of the Tai Lomsak people.
Lomsak city has a long and rich history, with evidence of community settlement that has led to unique cultures, traditions, ways of life, and local wisdom. To preserve the memories of the past from fading, the Lomsak Museum was established as a place for learning and studying customs. Inside, it displays various stories of the Tai Lomsak people, with wax figures of the White-bellied Lao and women wearing red-topped skirts and red headscarves as highlights. Additionally, the museum presents the history of Lomsak city's prosperity from the past to the present, with points of interest such as the Lomsak Opium Distillery, Benja Bunterng Cinema, the city's well and clock tower. It also features demonstrations of rare professions by the Baan Mai Ancient Knife-making Group, which is now one of the few remaining in Thailand.
